Hall Guide

Holker Hall is one of the regions finest country houses and home to Lord & Lady Cavendish – the centrepiece of a beautiful 17,000 acre Estate. Holker Group employs over 250 people in the region. The Hall & Gardens welcome visitors from across the UK and abroad and regularly attracts over 39,000 visitors a year. Our complement of experienced Guides help to make visitors feel welcome in the Hall as well as supplementing the information provided by the guidebook and publicity materials. Many guides also deliver tours for specialist groups – depending on their area of expertise and interest.

Garden Festival Steward

The annual Holker Garden Festival is the flagship event for the Estate and is now in its 24th year. This year the event will take place on the 3rd – 5th June and Stewards are required from Tuesday 31st May until Tuesday 7th June. The Stewarding roles are varied and include programme selling, general stewarding in marquees and on the showground, exhibitor welcome points, maintenance/litter and food court assistants. Refreshments are provided. You will be paid an hourly rate which will be discussed at the interview, along with which role you are most suited to.

Gardener - Car Park

We are looking for a car park gardener to join the team to maintain all the front of house areas.  Under the supervision of the Head Gardener you will ensure the main entrance, car park, entrance to the house, playground and Cafe Plaza are maintained to the highest standards.

The BBC Antiques Roadshow will be filming at Holker on Wednesday 6th July.  We are looking for a team of 35 stewards plus car parkers to assist on a voluntary basis.

Front of House Supervisor
