Morecambe Bay Potted shrimps

The Holker Estate’s western boundary runs along the edge of Morecambe Bay and therefore the Estate and the sea have always had a very close relationship.   The local fishermen have long worked the Bay for the harvesting of cockles, white bait and shrimps and have for many generations used access across the Estate to be able to fish.
 
The Morecambe Bay potted shrimps are a known delicacy and are available through the Food Hall and on our menu in the Courtyard Café.
