Facilities & Access

As well as Holker's three superb main attractions, Holker Hall offers a variety of activities and facilities to make your visit a relaxed day.

Food & Drink

The Holker Food Hall offers a wonderful and mouth-watering shopping experience for all, with the best that Cumbria has to offer available. 

The Courtyard Café at Holker Hall is open daily until 24th December 10.30am - 5.30pm (10:30am - 4:00pm out of season), for a wide selection of main meals, snacks, afternoon teas, drinks and ices.

Groups of 10+ can take advantage of  dining in the newly refurbished Burlington Room. A special price menu selection is available on request.

Picnics can be eaten in our Picnic Area adjacent to the Parkland. We regret that Barbecues are not allowed. Only food bought at The Courtyard can be consumed on The Courtyard Premises.

Children

Children are welcome to visit Holker Hall with their parents, grandparents or guardians. Families can ask for a Garden Quest sheet when visiting Holker to help them explore the garden.

Adventure Playground is a must for all those 12 and under.

A children's Menu is available in The Courtyard Cafe.

Baby Changing Facilities and Milk Warming available at The Courtyard Cafe.

Holker Gift Shop

Open Daily until 24th December the Holker Gift Shop displays a wide selection of gifts, souvenirs, local products, children's toys and books. Open daily 10.30am - 5.30pm (10:30am - 4:00pm out of season). 

Disabled Access

A vast majority of the Holker Estate is suitable for wheelchair users and we offer free admission to accompanying carers. By prior arrangement tours can be tailor made for the hearing and sight impaired and for our disabled visitors. Alternatively you can download the leaflet opposite.

We have 4 wheelchairs and a mobility scooter available for use by visitors. It is essential to ring in advance to reserve these. Please call our Gift Shop on 015395 58532. 

Dogs 

Dogs are allowed in to the Parkland at Holker Hall so long as they remain on a lead. Dogs (except Service Dogs) are not allowed in to the Gardens, Hall.
