Free Familiarisation Visits

If you have never been to Holker Hall before and you would like to visit to see how timings would work and look at what would be of interest to your group, why not take advantage of our offer of a FREE familiarisation visit for you and a guest. Visits can be made at any time during our normal opening hours (special restrictions may apply to special events). Just call or email and we can make arrangements for you to visit.

Flexible Tailor Made Itineraries

Your group visit can be as structured or informal as you like. Some groups simply choose to purchase their ticket and then look round at their own pace, getting lunch or refreshments individually as and when they feel like it. Alternatively you have the option of adding in guided tours or lunch/afternoon tea at a set time to add more structure to your day. We are very happy to advise and help you find the perfect balance for your group. Our 2015 group menus and guided tours can be downloaded from our Media Centre

Help Promoting Your Visit

We offer free literature and posters to help you promote your visit.  If you would like leaflets to distribute just let us know how many and where to post them to. We also have a vast library of images to help you promote your visit. Either download some from the selection in our image bank in the Media Room or contact us directly with specific image requests.

Getting Here

Holker is only a 30 minute drive from junction 36 of the M6. Follow the Brown Tourist signs for "Lake District Peninsulas" and then "Holker Hall." We are on the B5278 ½ mile from Cark-in-Cartmel. The nearest train station is Cark-in-Cartmel (approx. 1 mile) with rail links to major cities and airports. We are situated only a short distance from many of the Lake District's top attractions.
