Holker Hall offers extensive learning opportunities for children, particularly Keystage 1 and 2 levels. With facilities including the Victorian ‘New Wing’ which is the home of Lord and Lady Cavendish, national award winning Gardens of both a formal and informal style, a traditional Estate Deer Park, the Ice House dating back to the 1700’s
We have updated the format for School visits by revisiting subject areas in relation to National Curriculum information, while also ensuring that we keep the fun and relaxed atmosphere that Holker has become known for. We are regularly commended on the style of interpretation throughout the estate and have a dedicated team of Guides, many of whom are very experienced in working with School children and who are able to make the very most of your time with us.
We are currently offering a range of activities at Holker, plus Teachers Information Packs which you can receive in advance of your visit. These include visit information and also suggested follow up work on your return to School, which will enhance the specific information you gather on the day of your visit to Holker Hall.
You can phone, fax or email for further information to receive a School Booking Form or Information for Teachers Pack which details the activities available in the Education Room. Alternatively you can download these from the Media Centre.
