The Big Draw comes to Holker - participating artists announced

Big Draw to run sessions creating fantastical insects and birds and woodland landscapes.

Final details have just been announced of the artists in action at Holker Big Draw event on Thursday 1st November.

They will include: Frances Winder, Zoe Baker and Diane Rowlinson.  Tania Jany Brown will lead the activities planned which start at 11.00am for the morning session.  The planned activities will use the beautiful natural resources of the Holker Gardens and Grounds to complete different cooperative projects all based around the theme of Fantastical Creatures.

Tania commented "across all activities I am aiming to show that drawing is as much about observing as it is about making marks to express a scene, idea or mood. These are short taster sessions to help stimulate people to try and make things fun and not intimidating".

Activity times:  11.00am - 12.30pm morning session, 12.30pm - 1.00pm troll trek - brief guided walk to take inspiration from the Holker Gardens (please gather outside the Gift Shop), 1.30pm - 2.30pm afternoon session, 2.30pm - 3.00pm activities completed.

All activities are free and suitable for school age children and adults.
