Half Term Halloween Fun at Holker
Saturday 27th October to Wednesday 31st October 2012

Wicked Walks in the Holker Garden
Children can follow the Holker guide on a Halloween walk full of mystery and spooky shadows.  Wander through the trees and glades, through Pagan Grove and Labyrinth to the witches' cottage deep in the magical garden. Why not get into the spooky spirit and come in fancy dress.  Guided walks take place on Saturday 27th, Sunday 28th and Tuesday 30th at 11.00am and 2.00pm and tickets are priced at £3.50 per person.  Places are limited so pre-booking is recommended.  Children must be accompanied and the walks are suitable for 3 years upwards.

Self Guided Halloween Garden Trail
If you would prefer to tour the gardens at your leisure, but with an extra dimension to interest our younger visitors, why not purchase a Halloween Garden Trail sheet?  You'll need to keep your wits about you as you try and spot our pumpkin clues dangling in the spooky shadows.  (Available during garden opening hours - Sunday to Wednesday).  Sheets cost £1.  Garden admission is charged at £7.50 for adults and children free.

Loathsome Lanterns
Bring along your own carved lantern, be it pumpkin, turnip, squash or marrow and take part in the pumpkin parade!  The best ones will win a prize.  Judging will take place at 12.15pm and 3.15pm daily.

Creepy Crafts
Hands-on Halloween craft activities will take place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in the education room.  Drop-in sessions in both the morning and afternoon will run from 10.30am - 12.30pm and 1.00pm - 3.00pm priced at £3.50 per child.  No need to book.

Cafe Cauldron
The Holker Courtyard Cafe will also be serving delightfully disgusting food straight from the cafe cauldron.

Holker Winter Market
Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th November 2012 10.30am - 4.00pm
Stock up on some local produce and artisan gifts as the Winter Market returns to Holker with over 40 stalls all showcasing the best produce on offer for the festive season.  Start your Christmas shopping with a trip to the Holker Gift Shop, including the chance to buy some exquisite decorations.

End of season Garden Tours are a great way to see our gardens at this very magical time, as nature offers beautiful colours, shapes and smells before hibernating fully for Winter.

Discover perfect foodie gifts at the Holker Food Hall with a selection of delicious sweet and savoury treats, including a variety of gift boxes and hampers.  Round off your trip to the Winter Market with a visit to the cosy Courtyard Cafe and sample some seasonal, local and speciality foods or indulge in the Holker BBQ which will be serving Holker meats.
