If you’re feeling the winter blues, and craving the warmer days of summer,  you’ll be pleased to hear that advance tickets to the 24th Holker Garden Festival go on sale on Thursday 28th January 2016.  Great discounts are available for those early birds with special online advance ticket prices of: Adults £12.50 and Senior/Students £11.00, available up to 31st March; buying your tickets before 31st March means a saving of almost 20%!  And from 1st April to 1st June online prices are: Adults £13.00 and Senior/Students £11.50.

Hosted by The Cavendish Family in the grounds of their home, Holker Hall in Cark-in-Cartmel, the three day event, taking place from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th June, is a celebration of gardening, countryside, food and crafts; with a vibrant mix of horticultural displays, fragrance filled marquees, striking show gardens, country crafts and artisan produce.

Don’t miss:  With TV gardening personality, Charlie Dimmock already confirmed to attend, plans for Cumbria’s annual horticultural celebration are well underway.  Charlie will be the Festival’s special guest on Saturday 4th June 2016, meeting and greeting visitors on and around the showground, and taking part in Q & A sessions in the new Holker Roadshow inside the Holker Garden Theatre.

“I’m delighted to be attending the 24th Holker Garden Festival; this will be my first visit to Holker Hall and the surrounding area – I’ve heard many good things about both the Festival and the venue’s beautiful gardens and parkland.  I’m particularly keen to see this year’s Show Gardens and I look forward to meeting the exhibitors and visitors during my time on the showground.”  Charlie Dimmock.

Jillian Rouse, Festival Manager comments, “We are thrilled to be welcoming Charlie to this year’s Festival; we’re all a fan of hers - particularly of her Ground Force days.  We look forward to picking up some good gardening tips while she is with us, and being able to introduce her to our exhibitors and visitors to the show.”

Tickets purchased on the day of the event – Adults: £15.50 and Senior/Students: £14.00.  Children under 16 go FREE when accompanied by an adult.  To buy tickets visit the website at www.holkerfestival.co.uk, or call 015395 58838.
