A new partnership has been formed in Cumbria and The Lakes for Weddings that are as unique as each couple tying the knot. The history and heritage of the stunning Holker Hall, home of the Cavendish family, the culinary magic of Campbell and Rowley plus the expertise of The Lake District Wedding Company of all things wedding offer an unrivalled combination.
Holker Hall Wedding Fair on Sunday 13th November is the first showcase of this offer and an exciting opportunity for brides and grooms-to-be to experience the sights sounds and tastes on offer for their perfect wedding package.
Lucy Cavendish, Chairman of The Holker Group said “We are delighted to be hosting the very first Wedding Fair at Holker Hall and look forward to welcoming visitors to see the hall dressed for that special day and hope that would-be bride and grooms enjoy talking to the first class range of wedding suppliers we have invited.”
Visitors will enjoy a glass of fizz on arrival, meet our Wedding team, the Lake District Wedding Company, and Chef Paul Rowley’s catering team whilst sampling bespoke canapes.
The Courtyard will be hosting specially selected wedding partners who will be showcasing their services. From designer wedding gowns to stunning floral displays and the chance to see the Hall laid for a ceremony whilst being serenaded by live music, we hope the experience will inspire your perfect day.

This weekend’s damp weather didn’t affect the fiery fun at Holker with a full house for the chilli eating competitions hosted by Darth Naga. A packed Courtyard watched on as 10 competitors (on each day) took part in the lively competition. Saturday’s competition was the most entertaining yet with Darth commenting it was best one he had ever hosted - humorous contestants were encouraged by the lively crowd - with Jordan from Barrow taking centre stage. Joint winners took the trophy on Saturday and Ed Duffy was crowned Sunday’s winner after reaching around 250,000 scovilles.
