Taking place on Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st May 2017 the Holker Spring Market will bring together a fine selection of home, food, garden and gift exhibitors set in the bustling Courtyard and Piazza.
“After the great success of our last Winter Market in November, we’re really keen to grow and develop our seasonal markets here at Holker. We had record numbers attend that event and really promising feedback from both exhibitors and visitors. Planning is well underway and we’ve had exhibitor enquiries already so we encourage businesses to get in touch early if they would like to book a stall. The Courtyard is the perfect setting for our bustling markets and spring is one of the best times of the year to see the estate – it will be a great day out for all the family.” Jillian Rouse, Head of Visitor Services at Holker.
Visitors will discover a spring showcase of delicious artisanal food, glorious flowers and plants and beautiful handmade gifts alongside lively entertainment including a circus workshop.

This weekend’s damp weather didn’t affect the fiery fun at Holker with a full house for the chilli eating competitions hosted by Darth Naga. A packed Courtyard watched on as 10 competitors (on each day) took part in the lively competition. Saturday’s competition was the most entertaining yet with Darth commenting it was best one he had ever hosted - humorous contestants were encouraged by the lively crowd - with Jordan from Barrow taking centre stage. Joint winners took the trophy on Saturday and Ed Duffy was crowned Sunday’s winner after reaching around 250,000 scovilles.
