Holker Hall offers extensive learning opportunities for children, with facilities including the Victorian ‘New Wing’ which is the home of the Cavendish family, national award winning Gardens, of both a formal and informal style, a traditional Estate Deer Park and an Ice House dating back to the 1700’s.
We have a range of facilities that will enable your visit to be as comfortable and productive as possible, these include wet weather facilities for groups of up to 60 children, an outdoor picnic area, a covered picnic area, wet weather facilities for learning, first aiders throughout the site, meal voucher for the coach driver, opportunities to study away from members of the general public, specific times for groups of School children to visit the Shop and additional learning aids for your return to the School Room.
If you would like to make a preview visit with a colleague, or with your own children, then please contact us for an advance pass. This will give you access on any one day when we are open and will give you a chance to trial any activities or develop any of your own worksheets should you wish to.
You will also find that the majority of our site is accessible to those with disabilities. Should you have any specific requirements please contact the Visitor Services Office.
