Classic summer food market and plant fair returns to Holker
HISTORIC Holker Hall is set to play host to a classic summer weekend with the return of its popular food market and plant fair.
The event will showcase fresh, local food and drink from producers and artisans across the area this Sunday, August 25.
Garden lovers will also be able to browse a host of stalls from nurseries and growers across the North West for the day.
Holker manager Heather Creasey said there was something for everyone at the annual event.
“Our award-winning gardens often serve as inspiration for those hoping to recreate a little bit of Holker at home.
“The summer food and plant fair offers people the chance to browse a range of varieties of plants and shrubs from a number of nurseries across the North West and perhaps pick up something new to them.”
Heather added: “There’s also a treat in store for those who enjoy trying artisan products with the summer food market here for the day.
“Visitors can wander through the stalls to speak to producers and perhaps round things off with a relaxing lunch in our Courtyard Cafe or Ilex Restaurant, which incorporate ingredients grown right here in the kitchen gardens.
“It’s a lovely event not to be missed.”
Entry to Holker’s summer food market and plant fair is free of charge.
