Lockdown 3.0 may be in full force, but rest assured that we are all busy behind the scenes getting everything ready for when we can welcome visitors back through our gates.

The Gardeners have been hard at work planting an assortment of bulbs ready for the spring time colour. There has been many a project taken on over the winter months so be sure to keep an eye on our website and social pages for more updates on what they have been up to.

Trickier though it may be given the varying restrictions in place, we have also been planning our season of events. As you can imagine, there is a number of plans in place and we are waiting for the green light to know which one to put in place. However, we are being optimistic and are ploughing on with the planning of our three annual market events for the year! The Spring Fair will return on 1st & 2nd May and with will see our first ever ‘Fun Dog Show’. We certainly intend for this to be our celebration event of the year where we can enjoy spending time with friends, family and of course, our Holker Hounds!

The Chilli Fest is set to be on 4th & 5th September. This year we are expanding on the trader offering over the weekend. There will of course still be everything spicy and fiery that we know and love as well as things to cool the palette, but we are also encouraging traders with handmade items, cosmetics and stunning pick me ups. There will certainly be something for everyone. Not forgetting the return of the Chilli Eating Competition and Piñata Smash!

Our Winter Markets will run 5th, 6th & 7th November as ever kicking off the festive season in style. We may have had to cancel last year but we are so excited to be planning this year’s market which will be bigger and better than ever before.

Event details and tickets will soon be available to purchase, as will tickets for the Hall & Gardens. As soon as Government announce the next step, be sure to check back for full details and to purchase tickets. We can’t wait to see you all as soon as possible.

Stay safe!
