2022 – The first full season for two years!

The gates opened once again on Friday 11th March to welcome in the 2022 season. Who would have ever thought that this is our first full season since we finished in 2019?

It’s been a rollercoaster of a couple of years for everyone and we’re so glad to have been able to provide you all with some rest bite, a place to escape to and entertainment to take your mind off of the world.

We’re beyond excited to be able to celebrate 2022 and have an abundance of events, food and entertainment planned to make sure we do it justice.

As always, we have our three main market events of the year:
Spring Fair – 7th & 8th May
Holker Fest – 3rd & 4th September
Winter Markets – 4th, 5th & 6th November
We’re sure you’ve noticed that Chilli Fest appears to be missing from the list, but fear not, it has had a little facelift while we have been planning! Our beloved Chilli Fest will now be known as ‘Holker Fest’ but don’t worry – the chilli eating competition will still take place at the end of the day, but Holker Fest will be our very own carnival full of family-friendly entertainment and of course packed with all our wonderful artisans selling their homemade and handcrafted wares.

This year also sees our first-ever music festival in the parkland – Folk Fell, Saturday 23rd July. We have some huge names on the bill such as Cara Dillon & Kate Rusby! You can bring the whole family along – including your music-loving Holker Hounds – for a day basking in the Cumbrian countryside, lapping up everything Holker Hall & Folk Fell have to offer.

We, of course, have our returning events such as, Car’s the Star show, Garden Tours and children’s Murder Mystery’s, not to mention the Fairy & Trolls have been spotted and are expanding even more through the gardens. Be sure to get your magic and wishes at the ready from August to discover what they have been up to.

A new season equally brings with it a new menu and we are loving what is coming out of the kitchen. We might be a little biased but you’ll have to come and try it for yourself to see just what you’re missing out on.

The Gardens are looking stunning and the early Spring sunshine is making everything ‘pop’. The rhododendrons and magnolias are the tip of the iceberg as to what you can find in the gardens at this time of the year. Our Hall is back open and as of w/c 4th April, we are reverting back to our pre-pandemic visitor style. You no longer have to book a specific time for a guided tour, once again you will be able to wander through the grandeur of the Hall at your leisurely pace. Our guides will of course be on hand to answer any and all questions you may have.

Be sure to keep an eye on the website and socials for updates on upcoming events, menus and everything else we have in the pipeline. We can’t wait to see you all throughout the 2022 season.
