The majority of the site is accessible to wheelchair users with hard standing roads taking you to public areas, though on occasions within the Gardens you may need to take routes which lead onto grassy areas. Wheelchair access to the Hall is limited to the ground floor only due to fire safety regulations, though entry to the Hall is free to wheelchair users who have a Garden & Park ticket. Information on the upstairs is available to view in folder from within the house.
We offer free admission to accompanying essential carers.
Designated parking is available for Blue Badge holders, centrally located to all facilities.
Disabled Toilets are located within the Courtyard Café complex and are signposted.
Tours can be tailor made, by prior arrangement, for the hearing and sight impaired and for disabled visitors.
Assistance dogs are welcome in the house, grounds, shops and café.
We have a manual wheelchair which can be borrowed to use on site. Please phone the Visitor Services Department to reserve in advance.
If you require further information, please phone the Visitor Services Department on 015395 58328.
You have the option of booking tickets in advance via our 'Book Tickets' button in the top right hand corner or when you arrive with us at our kiosk.
As of w/c 4th April, we will be opening the Hall as a 'free-flow' visit. This means you no longer have to book a specific time and tour when visiting the Hall, your ticket is valid for the full day of your visit. If you have already purchased a timed ticket, this is still valid for your day of visit.
