Access Information

The majority of the site is accessible to wheelchair users with hard standing roads taking you to public areas, though on occasions within the Gardens you may need to take routes which lead onto grassy areas. Wheelchair access to the Hall is limited to the ground floor only due to fire safety regulations, though entry to the Hall is free to wheelchair users who have a Garden & Park ticket. Information on the upstairs is available to view in folder from within the house.

We offer free admission to accompanying essential carers.

Facilities

Designated parking is available for Blue Badge holders, centrally located to all facilities.

Disabled Toilets are located within the Courtyard Café complex and are signposted.

Tours can be tailor made, by prior arrangement, for the hearing and sight impaired and for disabled visitors.

Assistance Dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome in the house, grounds, shops and café.

Manual Wheelchairs
We have a manual wheelchair which can be borrowed to use on site. Please phone the Visitor Services Department to reserve in advance.

2021 Season

The 2021 season will run up until 7th November.

Our Christmas opening then takes over with the following opening times and dates:
Cafe, Gift Shop & Food Hall open -
Friday 12th Nov - Sunday 14th Nov / Friday 19th Nov - Sunday 21st Nov

Hall, Gardens (first two formal sections), Cafe, Gift Shop & Food Hall open -
26th, 27th & 28th November
1st - 5th December
8th - 12th December
15th - 19th December

 

 

Dates and Times

Café / Gardens / Gift Shop / Food Hall – Wednesday-Sunday, 10.30am - 5pm

Hall – Wednesday-Friday, 11am – 4pm

Please note that the Hall will be running pre-booked guided tours on the hour. Tickets need to be booked no later than 24 hours in advance of your visit. Click here to book your tickets.  

Garden tickets will not be refunded on account of bad weather.
