Back by popular demand – come and join us for an evening of food, music and an outdoor bar in the chilled surroundings of the Holker Shire Yard.

Live music and street food come together this September with the latest edition of Shire Yard Sounds, taking place on Saturday 5th September 2026. The much-loved event will once again transform the atmospheric 19th Century Shire Yard into a rustic festival setting, with hay bales, open skies and an outdoor bar setting the scene for a unique evening’s entertainment.

The evening will feature a performance by Ulpha 590, who are well known across the North West for their mix of classic rock, pop and indie covers. Gates open at 4pm, entry is free, and visitors are encouraged to bring their own chairs to enjoy the outdoor setting.

Food will be served by Aupa Street Food, who fulfilled their first ever external booking at Shire Yard Sounds in 2024 and are returning by popular demand. Their menu has become a talking point at regional events, particularly their gourmet smashburgers, freshly pressed and stacked with inventive toppings. Vegetarian options will also be available.

Cloud Nine Kitchen will be making their debut at Shire Yard Sounds. Their inventive, flavour-packed menu has already earned a loyal following, with dishes that balance bold tastes and fresh ingredients. Vegetarian and vegan options will also be available.

An outdoor bar will ensure glasses are kept full throughout the evening, with a relaxed festival atmosphere inviting visitors to linger long after the sun sets. Gates open at 4pm. Guests are encouraged to bring along camping chairs, settle in, and let the music and food take centre stage.
