Supper & Stories at Holker Hall & Gardens invites guests to an intimate evening of seasonal dining, conversation, and storytelling. Each event features a carefully curated supper, followed by a talk from a guest speaker who shares insights, experiences and unique stories that inspire, entertain, and provoke thought. From authors and adventurers to local artisans and heritage experts, the series celebrates creativity, lived experience, and the art of storytelling, offering a warm and engaging experience for all.

Supper & Stories takes place every 2nd Thursday of the month, food served at 6:30pm, speaker 7:30pm, £15 per person.

Join Head Gardener Matthew Murgatroyd for a special evening of supper and storytelling as he takes us through A Year in the Garden.

From the first signs of spring to the rich colours of autumn and the important work of winter, Matthew will share an expert, insider’s view of the garden through the seasons. Discover the planning, planting, challenges and unexpected moments that shape each year, alongside stories from behind the scenes and reflections drawn from a life spent working in high-end horticulture.  Accompanied by a delicious supper, this relaxed and engaging talk offers a wonderful opportunity for garden lovers to hear expert insights, ask questions and enjoy an evening in good company.

Food: chicken and leek cobbler (vegetarian option available)
