Winter Market – November

Join us once again for the perfect start to the festive season as we welcome a wonderful variety of craftspeople, gifts and street food vendors to the grounds of Holker Hall & Gardens. Widely regarded as the traditional curtain raiser for the North’s festive market season, our Winter Market continues to be one of the region’s most anticipated gatherings.

Holker Winter Market 2026 will feature a wide range of traders, including crafts, food, drinks and unique gifts. Visitors can enjoy a tempting choice of street food styles, relax at the outdoor bars, and soak up the atmosphere with live music ranging from blues and pop covers to folk rock and classical performances. Admission also includes free entry to Holker Hall and the gardens, making it a full day out to explore and enjoy.

Children (under 12 years old): Free. Please book online with adult tickets. 

Holker Hall & Gardens Season ticket holders have free entry on production of their membership card.

Essential accompanying carers are free on production of one of the following: an attendance allowance letter, a carer’s allowance letter of award, a disability living allowance letter or proof of personal independence payments (only available on the day at the ticket kiosk).

Holker holiday parks owners: a discount will be applied on production of the privilege pass, available on the day at the ticket kiosk.

Please note that Historic Houses, Gardeners’ World and RHS membership cards are NOT valid for this event, please refer to the Terms & Conditions of the card issuer.

BLUE BADGE PARKING:

There is limited Blue Badge parking available on display of a valid Blue Badge.

USEFUL INFORMATION:

Holker Winter Market is a busy event that can create traffic build up, please allow time for your journey, and be prepared to wait if necessary. It is a temporary outdoor event, with parking on uneven ground that can be some distance away from the Market itself (5 to 10 minutes’ walk). It’s also subject to changing weather and ground conditions, and while some temporary trackway will be in place, care should be taken when moving around the site. We recommend checking the weather forecast on the day of your visit and considering how any adverse weather may affect ground conditions – please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the environment, there is very limited cover.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

I don’t want to go to the Winter Market, can I visit just the Hall, Gardens or Café on those dates?

The Winter Market is a full, site-wide event across all three days (Friday 6th to Sunday 8th November), and a Winter Market ticket is required for entry for all areas.

Can I enter the Hall or Gardens before the Market opens?

The gates to the event will open at published times, and there is no opportunity for early entry.

Are dogs allowed?

Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome in the Market areas and Gardens, but not inside the Hall (except assistance dogs).

Which is the quietest day?

All three days are lively, but Friday is traditionally the quietest. If you prefer a little more space, we recommend visiting then.
