Holker Estates Permits
Mearness Access – New for February 2021
We’re pleased to announce that following representations from local parish councils, Holker will be re-establishing the permissive path around Mearness Point. Holker are keen to work alongside the local community to protect the wildlife and natural beauty of the area, therefore a permit system similar to others operated locally by Natural England and Holker will be introduced to facilitate ongoing access. Permits will be free of charge and anyone can apply, please email mearnesspermits@holker.co.uk for your permit.

Old Park Wood Access
The Estate has developed a series of permissive paths at Old Park Wood for the public to enjoy the unique ancient woodland. Permits to access the route are available free of charge from the Estate Office. Click here for a map
Fishing Permits- Capeshead and Greenodd
If you would like to fish from Capeshead or Greenodd, Holker Estate offers permits for rod and line fishing. The Estate charge £25 per person for the permit which expires annually on the 30th September. Click here for a map of Capeshead or here for a map of Greenodd

OPENING TIMES
2021 Season
Following the Government guidance, we are happy to confirm our 2021 season dates as follows:
Wednesday 31st March - Gardens & Cafe open. Please note the Cafe will be running a takeaway service only.
Wednesday 14th April - Gift Shop open and outside seating available in the courtyard.
Wednesday 19th May - Indoor & outdoor seating available in the courtyard and Cafe.
Wednesday 23rd June - Hall opens for hourly guided tours.
