Holker Estates Permits
Mearness Access – New for February 2021
We’re pleased to announce that following representations from local parish councils, Holker will be re-establishing the permissive path around Mearness Point. Holker are keen to work alongside the local community to protect the wildlife and natural beauty of the area, therefore a permit system similar to others operated locally by Natural England and Holker will be introduced to facilitate ongoing access. Permits will be free of charge and anyone can apply. The permit system is expected to be in operation by 1st February 2021 but applications can be made in the meantime by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or telephoning 015395 58313.
Old Park Wood Access
The Estate has developed a series of permissive paths at Old Park Wood for the public to enjoy the unique ancient woodland. Permits to access the route are available free of charge from the Estate Office. Click here for a map
Fishing Permits- Capeshead and Greenodd
If you would like to fish from Capeshead or Greenodd, Holker Estate offers permits for rod and line fishing. The Estate charge £25 per person for the permit which expires annually on the 30th September. Click here for a map of Capeshead or here for a map of Greenodd
