Holker Estate has a variety of landscapes including mixed woodland, farmland, moorland and estuarine marshland. This provides extensive sporting interest from shooting and stalking to fishing.
The Estate lets some of the shooting and stalking rights across the Estate to local syndicates, including the wildfowling areas around Morecambe Bay. It is possible to purchase an annual permit to fish for flounders in the River Leven from the Estate Office.
The Estate is working towards the regeneration of heather moorland at Kirkby Moor, an island moor in the South Lakes area, and has reintroduced red grouse in recent years.

You have the option of booking tickets in advance via our 'Book Tickets' button in the top right hand corner or when you arrive with us at our kiosk.
As of w/c 4th April, we will be opening the Hall as a 'free-flow' visit. This means you no longer have to book a specific time and tour when visiting the Hall, your ticket is valid for the full day of your visit. If you have already purchased a timed ticket, this is still valid for your day of visit.
