
Welcome to Holker Hall & Gardens
Holker is the home of Lucy Cavendish and her husband Tor McLaren who extend a warm welcome to all visitors. Magnificently situated only a short distance from Grange-over-Sands and the expanse of Morecambe Bay, the Estate is set in exceptionally beautiful countryside with gardens that merge into parkland, framed by the Lakeland Hills.
Opening Times
From Wednesday 17th June 2020, our wonderful visitors will be able to access the Gardens here at Holker although disappointingly, the Hall itself will remain closed for the time being.
Opening times will be Wednesday – Sunday, 10.30am until 4pm.
Admission Prices
Gardens and Parkland – £9 per person.
Annual Pass Ticket – £18 per person – unlimited entrance to the Hall & Gardens throughout the 2020 season.
Children go free with accompanying adult.
Discounts available for groups of 10 or more.
FAQ
When is the site open during the main season?
Holker Hall & Gardens, Cafe, Food Hall & Gift Shop are open from Wednesday to Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays.
The gates open at 10.30am and close again at 5pm for the Gardens, Café, Food Hall and Gift Shop. The Hall is open from 11am to 4pm.
Can I buy tickets online?
Tickets for the House and Gardens and some of our events can be purchased via our website by clicking the 'Buy Now' button at the top of the page.
Are dogs welcome?
Dogs are welcome in the Gsrdens, parkland, café and outside areas, as long as they are kept on a short lead. Dogs are not permitted in the Hall, except Assistance Dogs.
There is a water tap and water bowls provided in the Cafe Courtyard.
Are there any restrictions in the Hall?
Visitors are kindly asked not to bring bags or rucksacks into the Hall and to switch off their mobile phones.
Visitors are respectfully asked not to take photographs inside the Hall.
Pushchairs are not permitted in the house, but can be stored in the entrance porch.
Where can we picnic?
Picnic tables are provided in the wooded area surrounding the car park, and in a large shelter beside the playground. Visitors are allowed to bring picnics into the Gardens.
Is the admission the same during special events?
During Special Events, a different ticket tariff may be in operation and special offers may not be valid.
Can I hire a wheelchair?
We have 2 manual wheelchairs which can be borrowed to use on site. Please phone the Visitor Services Department on 015395 58328 to reserve in advance.
