A number of Lake District businesses and organisations have pledged their support in aid of the "˜Go Herdwick' public art trail, recently launched by the Lake District Calvert Trust charity, who aims to raise £1.3million through the initiative for their 40th anniversary fundraising campaign.

The Holker Garden Festival is now accepting entries for its 24th annual Show Garden competition and is calling for landscapers, gardeners and designers to showcase their designs, products and talents.
Widely regarded as the North's premier gardening event, the Show Gardens are the focal point of the summer event, taking centre stage on the showground with this year's theme of, "˜Gardening Through the Generations.'
