The Estate owns approximately one hundred unique country properties, predominantly located in the Cartmel area. These range from traditional cottages to large detached farmhouses, two thirds of which are let on the open market. Properties currently available to rent are shown below.
The Estate also owns Devonshire Buildings in Barrow-in-Furness, which are two Grade II* listed buildings comprising 112 apartments, a public house and a sandwich shop in close proximity to BAE Systems. Within the boundaries of the Estate are a variety of commercial properties including business units at Holker School, workshops, storage units, an oyster farm, stables, quarries, a golf course and various agricultural farms and grazings. OPENING TIMES
2022 Season
You have the option of booking tickets in advance via our 'Book Tickets' button in the top right hand corner or when you arrive with us at our kiosk.
As of w/c 4th April, we will be opening the Hall as a 'free-flow' visit. This means you no longer have to book a specific time and tour when visiting the Hall, your ticket is valid for the full day of your visit. If you have already purchased a timed ticket, this is still valid for your day of visit.
