From China to Cumbria: A Journey Through the Plants of Holker
Saturday 30th May
Ernest Wilson, the famed 20th century plant collector and explorer, referred to China as the ‘Mother of Gardens’ as there must be few gardens in Britain that do not contain at least one plant of Chinese origin. This is certainly true of the gardens at Holker Hall where Chinese plants are heavily represented. In fact, it seems likely that no matter where you are standing in the garden you will be looking upon a plant that calls China its home.

Join Will for an adventurous tour through the gardens, exploring the botanical highlights of the season and celebrating the huge diversity and beauty of Chinese flora and its unrivalled contribution to making our gardens what they are today. Tickets include Gardens Admission for the day.
SATURDAY 30th May, START TIME 2pm.
Cost: £21.95
