From humble beginnings as a café sideline in the heart of the Lake District, Maria and her husband Mark transformed Hawkshead Relish into an internationally recognised food brand. Today, their award-winning range of relishes, pickles and preserves is handcrafted in a 16th-century barn beside Esthwaite Water and enjoyed by customers across the UK and around the world.
Over supper, Maria will share the remarkable story behind the business: the challenges, opportunities and pivotal moments that shaped its journey from local start-up to global success.
Recognised with an MBE for services to the food industry and recently honoured with a prestigious Golden Fork Award for her contribution to food and drink, Maria’s story is one of passion, resilience and determination.
Expect an engaging evening filled with inspiring stories and plenty of opportunity to hear firsthand from one of Cumbria’s most celebrated food entrepreneurs.
