As we are edging ever closer to the reopening of Holker Hall, there are a few frequently asked questions we’re receiving from our new curious visitors. Even if you’re a regular visitor, there may still be some information you might not know about Holker and all of its enchantments, so listen up!

Answering Your Holker Hall Questions

When is the site open during the main season?

We know you’ve missed us, but fear not; it’s almost time to open up our gates again. We’re looking forward to welcoming you back on Wednesday, March 20th, with our opening times returning to their normal hours. We are open Wednesday through Sunday, with our gardens, cafe, food hall, and gift shop open from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the hall from 1 a.m. to 4 p.m. We are also open on bank holiday Mondays, so the fun never ends!

Can I buy tickets online?

Certainly! You can purchase your ticket to Holker Hall in advance via the link on our Home, Visit, or What’s On pages. You will also find ticket links for certain events we host at Holker Hall throughout the year, all of which are super easy to navigate. Your adventure begins with a click!

Are Dogs Welcome?

We are big animal lovers here at Holker, which is why we welcome your doggos along for your visit. All we ask is that they are kept on a lead at all times, and you also ‘pick up’ after them. Bins are provided throughout the estate. Want to show off your furry friend? We invite you to use our #HolkerHounds tag online, who knows they may make it onto our social media!

Are there any wheelchair restrictions in the hall?

At Holker we want everyone to relax and have the best time with no challenges. This is why our estate is equipped with accessible routes and wheelchair access throughout the site, with the exception of the first floor of the Hall. We also offer free admission to accompanying essential carers.

Can we picnic?

A delightful idea, just as spring is blossoming! You should feel free to bring along a picnic when visiting Holker; however, please note that you may only picnic on the lawns or around the grounds, not inside the hall or cafe. A tip from us would be to pick a cosy spot, perhaps near the bluebell woods. We do ask that you please take your rubbish with you.

Can I hire a wheelchair?

As previously mentioned, large parts of the estate are wheelchair accessible, but we do also offer the ability to hire a wheelchair. Just give us a call ahead of your visit to reserve your wheelchair by calling our visitor services department at 015395 58328.

Hopefully this has answered a lot of the questions you may have had before your visitor to Holker Hall. If you have any more questions or queries then please don’t hesitate to contact us at info@holker.co.uk or give us a call at +44 15395 58328.
